By August 31, 2017News

Auburn joined the growing list of college athletic programs doing what they can to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey’s devastation. The university’s athletic department announced on Twitter yesterday that it would be sending footwear and apparel to the relief efforts in Texas, responding to a call made by the University of Houston Monday. Cougars men’s basketball coach Kelvin Sampson called on athletic programs at every level to send 10 pairs of shoes and 20 t-shirts to Houston to be donated to those in need. A large number of prominent basketball coaches responded, including Auburn’s Bruce Pearl.
