Auburn Network Radio Stations Win Statewide Awards

Broadcast professionals from across Alabama attended the presentation of the Alabama Broadcasters Association’s “Best in Broadcasting Awards” on Saturday, March 25th at the Hyatt Regency in Hoover and two local Auburn Network radio stations won multiple honors.

J & R AbbyRich Perkins and Jeremy Henderson of Wings 94-3’s Rich & Jeremy in the Morning were named “Best Personality or Team” while the show received the ABBY Award for “Best Morning Show”. Rich & Jeremy in the Morning airs weekday mornings from 6:00 – 9:00 on Classic Hits Wings 94-3.

ESPN 106-7 also received multiple ABBY Awards at the ceremony. The Lunch Break, hosted by Zac Blackerby and Dana Solanon weekdays from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. was named “Best Sports Show”.

The ESPN 106.7 App, developed by Auburn Network Broadcast Assistant Riley Hubbard, received the ABBY for “Best Radio App”.

Both Wings 94.3 and ESPN 106.7 are sister stations of NewsTalk WANI.

Auburn Native Jacquie Cruz In Concert this Sunday

The Music Ministry of Auburn United Methodist Church will feature acclaimed vocalist, and Auburn native, Jacquie Klarenbeek Cruz in concert this Sunday, February 19 at 3:00 PM at the AUMC sanctuary.

This will be the premiere performance featuring the release of her new album, “HopeFull”.

Described as having “the voice of an angel”, Jacquie is a perennial favorite in the Auburn/Opelika area whether performing the “National Anthem” for thousands of sports enthusiasts at Auburn sporting events or in numerous concerts throughout the area and many surrounding states.

Jacquie is a graduate of Auburn High School and received her degree in vocal performance and communications from the Schwob School of Music in Columbus, Georgia.

No tickets are required; a love offering will be received.  Doors will open for the performance at 2:15 PM.
