Chuck Cooper, Physical Education teacher at Pick Elementary joined “Auburn/Opelika This Morning” 4/11 to talk about the annual “Alabama State Games”. Thousands of students from all over the state as well as a large group from Auburn and Opelika participate in the games each year. The games, which are styled after The Olympics, will be in Huntsville this year and there’s still a short window of opportunity to register to participate. Karen Delano was on on “Auburn/Opelika This Morning with an update on what’s happening in the Auburn school system. Ms. Delano talked about a partnership with the University of Alabama for high school students. Auburn high students will have the opportunity to take some college level courses through “Duel Enrollment”. Course credits earned would be eligible to transfer to most all other colleges students might be considering. Karen also talked about new technology now being used @ Drake Elementary that teach students math, logic and more through robots.
