About 5 a.m. Sunday, Blayke Henderson was driving his 1995 GMC on 64th Boulevard, & “For some unknown reason, Henderson crossed through the northbound lanes at the intersection and struck a building south where the truck burst into flames,”. Police arrived on the scene and tried to smother the flames with fire extinguishers, but were unsuccessful. Responders from the East Alabama Fire Department were able to put out the fire. Chambers County Coroner Jeff Jones pronounced the teenager dead at the scene. police and the coroner’s office are still investigating.
